Subject:APPOINTMENTS TO THE PUBLIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ADVISORY BOARD
(PEHAB)
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
The Public and Environmental Health Advisory Board was established in May 1986 to
anticipate emerging health needs and initiate prevention programs, focus public health
interventions in communities with greatest needs, balance available resources with growing
needs and advocate for increased county action to improve community health. The Advisory
Board consists of 19 members. The Internal Operations Committee reviews nominations for
all seats except those reserved for specific organizations. Terms of office are for four years.
At its February 28,2011 the Internal Operations Committee reviewed and approved the
above nominations and is recommending approval to the Board of Supervisors.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seats will remain vacant.

No impact.
