HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03012011 - C.45RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment & Human Services director, or designee, to apply for and accept funding from American Academy of Dermatology, in an amount not to exceed $8,000, for a shade structure to be installed at a Department childcare center, during the term July 31, 2011 through July 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% grant funded. No County match. BACKGROUND: The Department wishes to apply for funding from American Academy of Dermatologists to have a shade structure installed at one of its childcare centers - Los Nogales located at 321 Orchard Drive, Brentwood, California. If awarded, up to $8,000 will be made available for the purchase and installation of the shade structure. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If not approved, grant application will not be submitted.
