ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20897 to add one (1) full time Accountant I
(SAWA) (represented) position at salary level ZB5 1332 ($3995 - $4856) in the Health
Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $96,403, including
pension costs of $19,463, and will be fully funded by Environmental Health Permit Fees.
BACKGROUND:
This position will be assigned to the team of Accountants dedicated to the Environmental
Health Division. This new position is needed to address workload issues in the Finance
Division and it is part of the department’s succession planning to address upcoming
retirements. Duties of the position will include: preparing and reviewing journals, funds,
and other financial documents; reconciling and maintaining various financial schedules and
ledgers; and assisting in the preparation of a wide range of tasks as part of the on-going
budget process, including compiling, tabulating, analyzing, and reviewing financial data .
