HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03012011 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20896 to add one (1) full-time Substance Abuse Program Manager (VHGE) (represented) position at salary level ZA5 1750 ($6,043 - $7,345) in the Health Services Department FISCAL IMPACT: Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of approximately $139,840, including pension costs of $29,438, and will be fully funded with State Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention Funds. BACKGROUND: The Substance Abuse Program Manager position is needed to manage services at the county-run residential substance abuse treatment facility for men –Discovery House. Currently, there are 14 positions assigned to Discovery House; two clerical positions and 12 Substance Abuse Counselor positions. This Manager position will be responsible for planning, directing, and supervising the work of these employees as well as the overall program at Discovery House.
