ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20895 to add two (2) full-time Information
Systems Assistant II (LTVH) (represented) positions at salary level 3R5 1005
($2,890-$3,513) in the Health Services Deparment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual yearly cost of approximately $145,924,
including pension costs of $28,160, and will be fully funded by member premiums.
BACKGROUND:
These two permanent full-time positions are needed to address workload issues in the
Health Plan department. One position will be assigned to the Membership Maintenance unit
and it will be responsible for entering patient information into multiple computer systems
and working on the newborn data reconciliation project. In addition, this position is required
to research multiple systems which interact with health plan systems, reviews and corrects
membership data in various systems for quality control purposes, and performs data entry
for numerous year-end reports.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
The second position will be assigned to the Performance Measurement Unit. This
position will be responsible for input of data entry into Rim’s system. Other duties will
include: daily and custom reports for CCHP personnel, Rim’s system maintenance for
benefit updates, co-pay updates and new plan input and setup.
Currently, all duties are being performed by temporary employees; however, the need to
cover those additional duties is permanent. Permanent positions are warranted.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, services may be adversely affected.
