HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02082011 - C.51RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74-277-5 with Jackson & Coker LocumTenens, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $300,000, to provide temporary psychiatric services for the Mental Health Division Outpatient Clinics, for the period from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. Increase in daily and hourly on-call rates. BACKGROUND: For several years, the County has contracted with registries to provide temporary licensed personnel to assist during peak loads, temporary absences, and emergency situations. Approval of Contract #74-277-5 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide services, through December 31, 2011. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the County’s Mental Health Outpatients Clinics would not have appropriate psychiatric coverage during temporary staff absences therefore patients would go untreated.
