HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02082011 - C.41RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Chief Information Officer, to execute a purchase order with Avaya Communications Inc., in an amount not to exceed $286,500, for hardware maintenance on the County's Automated Call Distribution (ACD) and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) equipment. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of $286,500 covers a four year agreement, paid by monthly invoices. Each fiscal year, the yearly cost of the agreement is budgeted under Org# 4293 and charged back directly to user departments via the Department of Information Technology's (DoIT) billing process. BACKGROUND: The Avaya product was selected by the County via the RFP process and DoIT has been utilizing the Avaya ACD and IVR systems since 2006. This maintenance agreement will provide the necessary technical support and updates for the ACD/IVR hardware.
