HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02082011 - C.03RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE plans for the Willow Lake Road Sidewalk Gap Closure Phase II project, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Discovery Bay area. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact to the General Fund. Project was funded 54% through Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds and 46% through Local Road funds. BACKGROUND: The project originated from a TDA Grant application to close the gaps of sidewalk on Willow Lake Road and provide a continuous path to students and commuters. Members of the community, Discovery Bay Elementary School faculty, and District III Supervisor requested this project to provide a safer travel route for students, which requires approval of plans. The Board of Supervisors determined that the project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act as a Class 15301 (c) Categorical Exemption, and a Notice of Exemption was filed with the County Clerk on December 29, 2009.
