HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02152011 - C.28RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74–294–6 with Nadhan, Inc., dba Creekside Convalescent Hospital and Mental Health Rehabilitation Program, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $306,600, to provide Sub-Acute Care for Seriously and Persistently Mentally Ill Adults, for the period from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment. BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing Subacute Care for Seriously and Persistently Mentally Ill (SMPI) Adults. The terms of this Contract will allow County to place medically compromised mental health consumers at Contractor’s Creekside Mental Health Rehabilitation Center due to closure of an inpatient unit at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. Approval of Contract #74-294-6 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through December 31, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, seriously and persistently mentally ill adults will not receive sub-acute care for services. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable.
