APPOINT the following individual to the Tenant seat on the Contra Costa County Housing Authority Board of
Commissioners, to complete the current unexpired two-year term ending on March 31, 2012, as requested by the
Housing Authority Executive Director:

No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
The Tenant seat on the Contra Costa County Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is currently vacant due to
the resignation of Diana Tenes. In order to fill the vacancy, the Board of Commissioners requested the Housing
Authority Executive Director to conduct a recruitment and present the candidates to a subcommittee composed of
Commissioners Glover and Uilkema. The recruitment subcommittee approved the nomination of Geneva Green to

The Board of Commissioners anticipates reconstituting its membership structure in the coming months in response to
recommendations of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Today's nomination is consistent with
plans for reconstitution of the Board of Commissioners.
