ACCEPT 2010 Annual Report from the Contra Costa County Economic Opportunity
Council as recommended by the Employment & Human Services Department Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
On June 18, 2002, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2002/377, which
requires that each regular and ongoing board, commission, or committee shall annually
report to the Board of Supervisors on its activities, accomplishments, membership
attendance, required training/certification (if any), and proposed work plan or objectives for
the following year, on the second Tuesday in December.
The annual report for the County's Economic Opportunity Council is attached, outlining
accomplishments

CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Employment & Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports
three of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes - Outcome 1: “Children Ready for
and Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families that are Economically Self-sufficient,”
and, Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These outcomes are
achieved by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood
education, nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa
County.
