Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #23–475 with Rash Curtis & Associates, a corporation, in an
amount not to exceed $1,100,000 to provide debt collection services for unpaid accounts for
the Health Services Department, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise I funds. Contractor will be paid on a
commission basis for debts it actually collects.
BACKGROUND:
Under #23 475, Contractor will provide collection services for unpaid accounts for services
rendered by the Health Services Department including sending letters, making phone call,
reporting to credit bureaus and entering legal proceeding on behalf of County, through June
30, 2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, the County will not be able to receive payment for upaid
