APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to execute a contract
amendment with Robert Half International, Inc. (dba Accountemps), to increase the
payment limit by $32,200 to a new payment limit of $64,400 and extend the contract
termination date from December 31, 2010 to June 30, 2011 for temporary accounting
services, with no change to the existing modified indemnification language.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$32,200, 100% County General Fund; Budgeted.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of the Sheriff is requesting an amendment to the contract with Accountemps for
temporary accounting work to accommodate additional service hours necessary for the
completion of projects and to assistance with a backlog of work due to vacancies in the
Sheriff's Fiscal Division. The Office of the Sheriff and the Public Works Department have
worked with Accountemps through County Counsel to develop standardized contract
language for temporary, accounting services. This contract includes modified
