Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #26-164-17 with Agostini & Associates, Inc., a corporation, in an
amount not to exceed $350,000, to provide temporary nursing registry services for Contra
Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers and the County’s
Detention Facility, for the period from November 1, 2010 through October 31, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No increase in rates.
BACKGROUND:
On October 20, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-164-16 with
Agostini & Associates, Inc. for the period from November 1, 2009 through October 31,
2010, to provide temporary nursing staff to assist Contra Costa Regional Medical Center
and Contra Costa Health Centers and the County’s Detention Facility during peak loads,
temporary absences, and emergency situations.

of Contract #26-164-17 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide temporary nursing
registry services, through October 31, 2011.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, patients requiring these nursing services at Contra Costa
Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would go untreated.
