HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12072010 - C.31RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Sheriff-Coroner, or designee, to return donated 1975 GMC Pumper Truck to CR Fireline Company, the original donor, as recommended by the Sheriff-Coroner. FISCAL IMPACT: The return of this vehicle will allow the Sheriff's Office to avoid costs that would be incurred for ongoing maintenance. BACKGROUND: The Office of the Sheriff would like to return the donated 1975 GMC Pumper Truck to it's original donor, CR Fireline Company. The Sheriff's Emergency Services Support Unit (ESSU) has not been able to effectively deploy the vehicle as previously outlined in the original board order accepting the donation. To date the county has spent $485 on maintenance of this vehicle. The vehicle is aging and will require significant maintenance to keep in good working condition in coming years. The release of this vehicle would prevent the Sheriff's Office from incurring any further costs.
