ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution #20869 to increase the hours of Pharmacist I
(VYWA) (represented) position #7574 from part-time (20/40) to permanent full time in the
Pharmacy Division of the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The total annual cost for this action is approximately $72,039.34, which is offset by the
elimination of straight time overtime pay already incurred by the incumbent. This change
does not increase the current cost of retirement to the County.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to increase the hours of Pharmacist I position
#7574 from part-time (20/40) to permanent full time in the Pharmacy Division of the Contra
Costa Regional Medical Center. The incumbent has consistently worked over her assigned
position hours in order to meet the service needs of patients.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the position hours are not increased, the Department will lose reliable and consistent
coverage, and/or continue to pay straight time overtime pay to the incumbent.
