HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12072010 - C.12RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chief Information Officer, or designee, to enter into a contract with the City of Sacramento to transfer ownership interest in microwave radio equipment to, valued at $75,450, to the County for use with the Capital Bay Interoperable Communications Projects. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact. Microwave equipment has been acquired by the City of Sacramento with 2008 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant funds. BACKGROUND: The purpose of this contract is to formally recognize the understanding among the Parties that, subject to the terms and conditions of the FY08 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant award, the City of Sacramento will transfer all rights, title and interest in microwave radio equipment purchased with FY08 UASI grant funds, sub-granted by the County of San Francisco, valued at approximately $75,450 to the County of Contra Costa in connection with the Capital-Bay Interoperable Communications Project approved by the Department of Homeland Security for the FY08 UASI APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 12/07/2010 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes:District IV Vacant. In connection with the Capital-Bay Interoperable Communications Project, the County of Contra Costa shall work with the County of Sacramento to complete a microwave connection between the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The transfer of microwave radio equipment essential to connecting the Sacramento area with the San Francisco Bay area will be delayed or canceled. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: No impact.
