HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01151985 - 2.3 a3 TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FROM: Phil Batchelor, County Administrator Contra Costa DATE: January 10, 1985 County SUBJECT: Health Services Department-Environmental Health Division Report on Alleged Stauffer Chemical Hazardous Material Clean-Up SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors accept the Health Services Department-Environmental Health Division report on alleged Stauffer Chemical hazardous material clean-up. BACKGROUND On December 4 , 1984 Supervisor Fanden requested that the Health Services Department-Environmental Health Division provide a report to the Board on the steps taken by the City of Martinez and Stauffer Chemical to clean up alleged disposal of hazardous materials in Martinez. The report concludes that the materials in question: are not considered to be of a hazardous nature. However, the Environmental Control Division will continue to be informed of any activities in regards to this matter.
