HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11232010 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Patricia Tanquary) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #27-590-4 with Contra Costa Cardiology Medical Group, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $190,000, to provide professional cardiology services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from November 1, 2010 through October 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (Health Plan) member premiums. Costs depend upon utilization. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan membership contracts with the County. On November 18, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-590-3 with Contra Costa Cardiology Medical Group, for the period November 1, 2008 through October 31, 2010 to provide professional cardiology services to Contra Costa Health Plan members.
