BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Sand Creek Basin (USCB) located in the southeast portion of the City of Antioch (Antioch), south of Lone Tree Way, east of Deer Valley Road, north of Balfour Road, and west of State Route 4 Bypass. In order for the City to construct and operate the regional sports park, the Contra Costa County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (District) agreed to change the design and shape of USCB. The design change of USCB requires fee title to an additional 3.51 acres of land owned by Williamson, which the City has agreed to acquire on behalf of the District. By a separate agreement between the City and Williamson, Williamson agreed to grant fee title to the 3.51 acres of land to the District rather than grant fee title to the City, and then the City transferring title to the District. When the City is ready to construct the regional sports complex, they will enter into a joint use License Agreement with the District. A Notice of Determination was filed and Posted on September 14, 1992. [#CP 88-69 (SCH #90030280)] CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The District will have to redesign USCB to exclude the 3.51 acres or would have to purchase the property rights in order to accommodate the City’s regional sports complex. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not Applicable. ATTACHMENTS Grant Deed
