HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11092010 - C.39RECOMMENDATION(S):
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee,
to execute a contract with Mt. Diablo Adult Education (MDAE), including mutual
imdemnification, in an amount not to exceed $34,800 to provide assessment planning,
support, education, and training to California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids
(CalWORKs) participants for the period November 1, 2010, through June 30, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$34,800: 100% State Funding
BACKGROUND:
These services have been provided by Mt. Diablo Adult Education (MDAE) for two years.
The services were originally at no cost to Contra Costa County as MDAE had alternate
funding for this program. Unfortunately, due to reductions in funding streams, it becomes
necessary for MDAE to require financial support.
