Subject:Approve and Authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute a Purchase Order as recommended by the Public
Works Director.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
our computer inventory, we are recommending entering into a lease with Dell that will
allow us to replace all of our computers this year and then get into a three (3) year cycle

currently experiencing in the Department. The lease for the personal computers for the
Public Works Department would be added to a master lease agreement previously
executed between Dell and Contra Costa County.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Department would not be able to replace its aging inventory of personal computers
and the productivity and inefficiencies will continue to escalate as additional computers
fail.
