HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11092010 - C.25RECOMMENDATION(S): ACCEPT resignation of Bart Gilbert, DECLARE a vacancy in "Community Based Organization Seat 2" on the Workforce Development Board, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Department on behalf of the Workforce Development Board. FISCAL IMPACT: None BACKGROUND: The Workforce Investment Act calls for a business majority and our board continues to recruit key leadership to fill these positions. With Bart Gilbert’s resignation, the Workforce Development Board will aggressively seek applications form those CBOs that serve veterans. Veterans are a priority for services under WIA funding. Mr. Gilbert's term was 11/10/09 through 9/30/11.
