Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #23-341-8 with Marc Miyashiro, a self-employed individual, in an
amount not to exceed $165,000, to provide technical writing services for the Department’s
Information Systems Unit, for the period from December 1, 2010 through November 30,
2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by budgeted Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
On December 8, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-341-7 with Marc
Miyashiro for the period from December 1, 2009 through November 30, 2010, for the
provision of technical writing services for creating and maintaining information systems
user guides including providing end user documentation for both written and electronic
applications, coordinating technical documentation, providing assistance in establishing
Department document formats and documenting
