HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11022010 - C.23RECOMMENDATION(S):
ADOPT Position Resolution Number 20814 to establish the classification of Medical Staff
Services Manager (VAHD) (represented), allocate to the salary schedule at salary level
ZB5-1368 ($4140.17-$5032.40), and add one full-time position in the Health Services
Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost of $9,994 and will be offset by
future cancellation of vacant position, and temporary and overtime expense.
BACKGROUND:
Currently there is no dedicated management position to provide leadership to the Medical
Staff Coordinators in the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center's Medical Staffing Office.
In order to staff this critical function, the department has temporarily upgraded a Medical
Services Coordinator to Clerical Supervisor. Establishing this classification will provide
dedicated management oversight for staff providing staffing and scheduling support to over
100 inpatient and clinic based Physicians, in addition to managing the day-to-day operations
of the unit.
