SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Declare Surplus of 812 Volumes of Law
Books and authorize the Purchasing Agent to dispose of them.
. BACKGROUND: The Chief Deputy of the Bay Municipal Court has
indicated that the Law Books, listed below, are surplus to the
operations of the Bay Municipal Court and desires to have them
disposed. In that there is no current use for these books and to
keep them current would not be advantageous, it would be in the
best interest to the County to sell these books immediately before
they become seriously out-of-date. The Chief Deputy of the Muni
Court has obtained a evaluation of these books, from the Law
Librarian, and has been able to find a willing buyer.
