Subject:PURCHASE ORDER WITH OLYMPUS AMERICA, INC. FOR GI ENDOSCOPES
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: (CONT'D)
flexible endoscopes will be greatly increased. The purchase price of flexible endoscopes
usually totals $15,000 - $30,000. Repair costs often total ½ of the original purchase price of
the scopes. With relatively frequent repairs required, the 32 GI endoscopes are costly to
maintain. This capped contract helps keep the repair costs down and provides quality
repairs.
