Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Patricia Tanquary), to
execute, on behalf of the County, Standard Agreement (Amendment) #29-775-18 (State
#05MHF009, A.9) with the State of California, Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board,
effective October 1, 2010, to amend Standard Agreement #29-775-9 (as amended by
Amendment Agreements #29-775-10 through #29-775-17), to increase the amount payable
to the County by $5,463,623 from $19,496,818 to a new total Payment Limit of
$24,960,441 and to extend the term of the agreement from September 30, 2010 to
September 30, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Standard (Amendment) Agreement will result an increase in $5,463,623 of
funding from the State of California, Managed Risk Medical Risk Insurance Board for fiscal
year 2010-2011 for the Healthy Families Program. No County funds are required.

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
#29-775-9 (as amended by subsequent amendment agreements #29-775-10 through
#29-775-17), with the State of California, Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board for the
period from July 1, 2005 through September 30, 2010, for County’s participation in the
Healthy Families Program.
Approval of Standard (Amendment) Agreement #29-775-18 will continue State funding for
County’s participation in the Healthy Families Program through September 30, 2011.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, participants in the Healthy Families Program will not
receive services and the County will not receive funding.
