HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10192010 - C.33RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Agricultural Commissioner, or his designee, to execute Agreement #10-0267 with the State of California Department of Food and Agriculture not to exceed $295,976.00. The County will perform inspection activities targeting all federal, foreign and domestic quarantine and federal action pests. The County also agrees to perform inspection activities targeting all state quarantine pests and state action pests. FISCAL IMPACT: The County will be reimbursed for expenses by the California State Department of Food and Agriculture up to $295,976. BACKGROUND: The county will use the Dog Team to detect the presence of any unwanted plant pests in parcels, including insect species, diseases or other harmful organisms, that may pose a threat to the economic well-being of the State.
