HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10192010 - C.23RECOMMENDATION(S): Adopt Position Adjustment Resolution No 20841 to increase the hours of Laboratory Technician II (VJVA) position #9975 from Permanent-Intermittent to Permanent Full-Time and Registered Dental Assistant (V9WG) position #9310 from 24/40 to 30/40 in accordance with the memorandum of understanding between the County and Public Employees Union Local One. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost associated with this request per year is approximately $21,550.00, which is offset by the elimination of straight time overtime pay already incurred by the incumbents working over their designated position hours. BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is requesting to increase the hours of Laboratory Technician II position #9975 from Permanent-Intermittent to Permanent Full-Time and Registered Dental Assistant position #9310 from 24/40 to 30/40 in accordance with the memorandum of understanding between the County and Public Employees Union Local One. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If these position hours are not increased, the department will not have adequate staffing to meet the needs of patients. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
