RESOLUTION NO. 3451
SUBJECT: 1984 Pay Equity Adjustment for Female Housing
Authority Employees Represented by Contra Costa
County Employees Association, Local No. 1
The Board of Commissioners, Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa
RESOLVES THAT:
1) On January 7, 1985, the Employee Relations Officer submitted a letter
of agreement entered into with Contra Costa County Employees Association, Local
No. 1 on behalf of female employees of the Contra Costa County Housing Authority
represented by Local No. 1.
2) This Board having thoroughly considered said letter of agreement, the
same is approved.
3) The letter of agreement referred to above is attached hereto and incor-
porated herein by reference as though fully set forth herein and hereby made
applicable to female employees of the Contra Costa County Housing Authority
represented by Local No. 1.
4) If an Ordinance(s) is required to implement any provision of said
letter of agreement, the Board shall enact said Ordinance(s) .
THIS RESOLUTION is effective as of September 1, 1984.

Letter of Agreement
Representatives of Contra Costa County Employees Association, Local No. 1 and '
representatives of the Board of Commissioners, Housing Authority of the County
of Contra Costa having met and conferred in good faith, the following agreements
have been reached:
a) The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will
be asked for, policy clarification. with respect to a local
Housing Authority addressing comparable worth wage adjust-
ments. See attached letter dated December 19, 1984 from
the Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the
County of Contra Costa;
b) The following female-dominated job classifications will
receive a three percent (3%) pay equity adjustment
beginning September 1, 1984:
Housing Assistant
Housing Clerk
Secretary II
Senior Account-Clerk.-
c)
ccountClerkc) All public data and reports issued by the "Comparable Worth
Study Group", comprised of representatives of Contra Costa
County and representatives of Contra Costa County Employees
Association, Local No. 1, will be made -.available to the
Local No. 1 negotiating team when negotiations begin with
the Housing Authority this Spring.
If this conforms to your understanding of our agreement, please indicate your
acceptance below.
