Contra
Costa
County
Subject:Contract with Community Violence Solutions
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
The County proposes to utilize this funding for outreach, identification, support and linkage
to service delivery for victims of human trafficking and for a public awareness campaign.
The cornerstone of the program is the creation of the Contra Costa County Rescue &
Restore Coalition (CCCRRC) dedicated to addressing human trafficking, and modeled on
the highly effective county-wide Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Coalition.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Vital services to victims of human trafficking in Contra Costa County will be severly
limited.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The funding for the Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative supports three (3) of
the community outcomes established in the Children's Report Card: (2) "Children and
Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood"; (4) "Families that are Safe, Stable
and Nurturing"; and, (5)"Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for
Children and Families".
