Subject:Contract Amendment with Tremaine and Associates, Inc. effective 10/01/10, including provisional language
and payment limit increase to $150,000.
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
This contract amendment is needed to include additional provisions language that applies
to projects funded by the United States Department of Transportation, and to increase the
payment limit by $100,000 to a new payment limit of $150,000. All other terms and
conditions in the Contract entered into on March 23, 2009, between the Department and
the Contractor shall remain in full force and effect.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without Board approval, environmental assessments will not be completed in a timely
manner; therefore the necessary CEQA, NEPA, and HCP/NCCP clearances will not be
obtained which may delay the design and construction of the project and may jeopardize
funding.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not Applicable.
