HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09212010 - C.62RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23-398-4 with RHD Healthcare Consulting, Inc, a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $159,316, for the provision of professional consultation and technical assistance to the Director with regard to compliance of billing and privacy issues, for the period from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this Contract is included in the Health Services Department's Enterprise Fund I. No increase in rates. BACKGROUND: On October 13, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-398-3 with RHD Healthcare Consulting, Inc., to provide professional consultation and technical assistance to the Health Services Director with regard to compliance of Medicare and Medi-Cal rules and regulations covering reimbursement for patient services, including guidelines related to fraud and abuse, and to ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations, for the period from October 1, 2009 through APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 09/21/2010 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Gayle B.
