Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-528-3 with SPI America, LLC,
effective March 1, 2010, to amend Contract #26-528-1 (as amended by Amendment
Agreement #26-528-2), to increase the payment limit by $625,000, from $1,900,000 to a
new payment limit of $2,525,000, and extend the term from August 31, 2010 through
February 28, 2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No change in the rates.
BACKGROUND:
On September 23, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-528-1 (as
amended by Amendment Agreement #26-528-2) with SPI America, LLC for the period
from September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010, for the provision of medical and
dictation transcription services for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and
Contra Costa Health Centers.
