HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09212010 - C.42RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE the Fiscal Year 2010-2011 Contra Costa County In-Home Supportive Services Fraud Investigations and Program Integrity Plan and AUTHORIZE the Employment and Human Services Director, or designee, to apply for and accept funding from the California Department of Social Services in an amount not to exceed $538,191 for fraud investigation and program integrity efforts related to the In-Home Supportive Services Program. FISCAL IMPACT: If the plan is approved by the State, the County could receive up to $538,191 (56% Federal, 44% State). Required County in-kind match ($96,924.) BACKGROUND: The Budget Act of 2009 appropriated $10 million in State funds for the purpose of fraud presention, detection, referral, investigation, and additional program integrity efforts related to the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program. These funds are not available for prosecution, consistent with fedral funds matching rules.
