ADOPT Position Resolution No 20833 to increase the hours of Clerk - Senior Level
(JWXC) position #9146 and incumbent from 30/40 hours to 40/40 hours on salary schedule
3RX 1033 ($2963.73 - $3784.81) in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost associated with this action is approximately $16,510 per year and is offset by the
elimination of straight time overtime pay already incurred by the incumbent.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is requesting to increase the hours of Clerk-Senior Level
position #9146 and incumbent from 30/40 to 40/40 in the Concord Health Center. The
additional hours are criticial to meet the clinic's daily demands. As a care coordinator,

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
provides clerical support to six (6) providers on a daily basis, serves as a liaison between
the providers and their patients, and assists patients with care issues (i.e. medical
appointments, medication refills, and specialty referrals).
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the position hours are not increased, the Department will not have adequate staffing to
meet the needs of patients and providers in the Concord Health Center.
