CORRECT a board order approved by the Board of Supervisors on the following dates:
August 3, 2010 (Item C.41) and August 10, 2010 (Item C. 36) to accurately reflect the name
of the contractor as Richmond Elementary School, Inc., instead of Richmond Community
Foundation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No net County costs.
BACKGROUND:
On August 3, 2010 (Item C.41) and August 10, 2010 (Item C. 36) the Board of Supervisors
approved an agreement between the "Richmond Community Foundation." It was the
perception of departmental staff that Richmond Elementary School, Inc. had changed their
name to Richmond Community Foundation. It has since been determined that the two exist
as separate entities. The agreements are between the County and Richmond

Elementary School, Inc. This board order seeks to correct the record to accurately reflect
this partnership.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
The Employment & Human Services Department Community Services Bureau supports
three of Contra Costa County’s community outcomes - Outcome 1: “Children Ready for and
Succeeding in School,” Outcome 3: “Families that are Economically Self-sufficient,” and,
Outcome 4: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing.” These outcomes are achieved
by offering comprehensive services, including high quality early childhood education,
nutrition, and health services to low-income children throughout Contra Costa County.
