HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09142010 - C.136RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Unpaid Student Training Agreement # 22–845-2 with University of the Pacific, an educational institution, to provide field instruction in the Health Services Department for Contractor’s Physical Therapy students for the period from September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: None BACKGROUND: The purpose of this agreement is to provide Contractor’s students with the opportunity to integrate academic knowledge with applied skills at progressively higher levels of performance and responsibility. Supervised fieldwork experience for students is considered to be an integral part of both the educational and professional preparation. The Health Services Department can provide the requisite field education, while at the same time, taking advantage of the students’ services to patients.
