Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner,
MD), to execute, on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #28–530–17 with the City of
San Ramon, a public agency, to pay County an amount not to exceed $10,000, to provide
home-delivered and congregate meal services for County’s Senior Nutrition Program, for
the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. This Contract includes a three-month
automatic extension through September 30, 2011, in an amount not to exceed $2,500.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No County funds are required. There are no changes in the rates per meal that Agency pay
County.
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing an average of 25
congregate meals per day, four days per week for senior citizens at the San Ramon Senior
Center, and 15 home delivered meals per day to senior citizens in the San Ramon area.
On August 11, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
#28 530 16 with the City of San Ramon, for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30,
2010, which included a three-month automatic extension through September 30, 2010 for
the provision of home-delivered and congregate meal services for County’s Senior Nutrition
Program.
Approval of Novation Contract #28 530 17 replaces the automatic extension under the prior
Contract and allows Agency to continue providing services through June 30, 2011.
