FISCAL IMPACT: None. BACKGROUND: The Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity was established on July 9, 1991 to serve as an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors regarding the implementation of the County's Affirmative Action Plan, to review the Affirmative Action Program, and recommend actions to facilitate attainment of the County's goal for affirmative action. The Advisory Council consists of 11 members and the Internal Operations Committee (IOC) reviews nominations to all seats except those designated for County managers and labor organizations. Seat terms are for three years. It is appropriate for the Board to accept Ms. Mitgang's resignation and allow the Internal Operations Committee to take the steps necessary to fill the vacancy.
