ADOPT Resolution No. 2010/447 declaring Port Chicago Highway widening to be a
County road, Clyde area. (District IV)
FISCAL IMPACT:
No Fiscal Impact.
BACKGROUND:
The County Public Works Department acquired the Property from the Union Pacific
Railroad for the Clyde Pedestrian Path Project (Project). The Project will construct a
bicycle-pedestrian trail on the Property adjacent to Port Chicago Highway. This Board
accepted the Grant Deed from Union Pacific Railroad on June 22, 2010. The Property
should be accepted for roadway purposes because it will provide an alternative mode of
transportation.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Port Chicago Highway widening will not be accepted as a County road.
