This project is funded by Measure J - Return to Source Funds (100%). BACKGROUND: The purpose of the Project is to improve a total of approximately 2,500 linear feet of existing roadway sections along 3rd Avenue, ‘A’ Street, Carquinez Way, Columbus Avenue, Kendall Avenue, and portions of adjoining streets in the unincorporated community of Crockett. The Project consists of overlaying and/or reconstructing portions of existing roadway; repairing base failures, curbs, gutters, and sidewalk; installing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps in selected locations; and striping and adjusting signs, pavement markers, drainage, and utilities. Residential streets will be temporarily closed for approximately half a day per location in order to provide sufficient time for the overlay material to adhere to roadway surfaces. Residents will be notified prior to any construction activities, and “No Parking” signs will be posted the day before actual work. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Delay in approving the project will result in a delay of design and construction, and may jeopardize funding.
