Supervisor, District 5 a 45 Civic Avenue Pittsburg, CA 94565 Dear Supervisor Torlakson: It is our understanding that the County is interested in accepting the parcel in our Discovery Bay project designated as a park and previously offered for dedication to the County. It is our further understanding that acceptance of the property and all responsibility including liability would take place immediately, with construction of park facilities scheduled for this summer. In your conversation with Eric Hasseltine, you mentioned that the only obstacle to such action was the problem of maintenance between now and the start of construction. Since the County has not accepted this parcel, we have been maintaining it on a minimal basis limited to weed abatement in accordance with fire district regulations. If the County will accept this property now, we will provide mainte-- nance at the same level as in the past up until the start of construction or September 1, 1985, whichever comes first. We are pleased to learn of your intention on this matter, as it has been a matter of concern for some time. Sincerely yours, THE HOFMANN COMPANY Albert T. Shaw Executive Vice President is
