Subject:Transferring the Advisory Functions of CSA R-9 Citizens Advisory Committee to the El Sobrante MAC
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Committee was established on December 17, 1974 by Board of Supervisors Resolution
74/1059. The function of committee was to to advise the Board of Supervisors and the
Public Works Department regarding the desires of the El Sobrante community in the area
of local park and recreation facilities and services.
The District I Supervisor is recommending that the advisory functions currently being
provided by CSA R-9 Citizens Advisory Committee be performed by the El Sobrante
MAC. The projects overseen by the CSA R-9 committee have been completed, and the
consolidation of advisory functions at the El Sobrante MAC will provide greater
efficiencies and reduced administrative costs.
