Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand), to
execute, on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #24–879–22 with Recovery
Management Services, Inc., a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $375,529,
to provide Conditional Release Program (CONREP) transitional residential program
services, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. This Contract includes a
six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2011, in an amount not to exceed
$187,765.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by State CONREP Funds. No County funds are required.
There is no increase in the rate.
BACKGROUND:
This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by assisting judicially
committed patients discharged from State hospitals to integrate safely and successfully into
the local community. Contractor will provide services at its Parkside Program, to Contra
Costa County male residents who are between the ages of 18 and 65 and are participants in

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
CONREP and Mental Health Intensive Case Management Services Programs.
On August 4, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #24–879–20
with Recovery Management Services, Inc., for the period from July 1, 2009 through June
30, 2010 (with a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2010), for the
provision of CONREP transitional residential program services.
Approval of Novation Contract #24–879–22 replaces the automatic extension under the
prior Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30,
2011.
