BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) (as amended by Amendment #28-186-1) with La Clínica de La Raza, Inc., for the period from September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2010. La Clinica is obligated to monitor the activities of its subrecipients to ensure that Federal awards are used for authorized purposes in compliance with laws, regulations and the provisions of the grant agreement, including ensuring that their grant subrecipients meet the audit requirements of the U.S Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-profit Organizations. It was noted in a recent audit for fiscal year 2009, that La Clinica did not have adequate documentation to indicate that the County was in compliance with federal requirements related to OMB A-133. To correct this issue, La Clinica is requesting that the County amend the Agreement to meet Federal requirements. Approval of this Grant Award (Amendment) #28-786-2 will make technical adjustments to the Agreement and continue funding to expand the Patient Navigator Program, through August 31, 2010.
