BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) thirty-four facilities with approximately 140 pieces of HVAC equipment. Over the past ten years of guaranteed maintenance agreements, the Fire District has found that it is both economically and operationally efficient to have these agreements for District HVAC equipment. This agreement ensures that District equipment is maintained to its highest level and in the event of a mechanical problem a qualified, competent, and obligated service provider will respond to affect repairs in a timely manner. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Without an HVAC guaranteed maintenance agreement, Fire District equipment would not operate in an energy efficient manner, the District equipment would be subject to lengthy repair delays in the event of mechanical failures, and the health and welfare of Fire District personnel would be impacted due to the 24/7 nature of our operations.
