HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08032010 - C.22RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner, MD), to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #25–042–16 with Greater Richmond Inter-Faith Program, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $1,614,603, to provide emergency shelter program services for adults, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 39% by Federal funds, including Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) - Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Emergency Shelter Grant (FESG), Veterans Administration (VA), Substance Abuse/Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), and Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA); 36% by State funds, including Prop 63/Mental Health Services Act (MHSA); 18% by Contra Costa County Agencies, including Contra Costa Employment and Human Services Department, Housing Authority of Contra Costa County, and Contra Costa Regional Medical Center; and 7% by Local Agencies, including Doctors Hospital, Sutter Delta, and John Muir Medical Center. There is no increase in the rate. On June 16, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #25–042–14 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #25–042–15) with Greater Richmond Inter-Faith Program for the period from July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010, for the provision of emergency shelter services. Approval of Contract #25–042–16 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2011.
