APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director or his designee (Wendel
Brunner, M.D.), to accept grant funding (application #28-715-3) from the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) McKinney-Vento and execute
grant documents in an amount not to exceed $158,041, and enter into contract with HUD to
perform all responsibilities in relation to receipt of the funding and contracted provisions of
services to the Lakeside Permanent Supportive Housing Program in Concord, for Fiscal
Year 2010-2011.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This grant application will result in a subcontract to Resources for Community Development
and Anka Behavioral Health, Inc. The subcontractors will provide the 20% match required
by HUD. No additional County funds required.
BACKGROUND:
Lakeside Permanent Supportive Housing is a mixed-use development and includes 12 units
for homeless families. The units set aside for the homeless serve families with at least one
parent disabled by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, or dual/multiple diagnoses
